walking casually, recently, through the long grass of my life, I trod unaware upon this quote from Louise Hay:

‘You’ve been criticising yourself for years, and it hasn’t worked.

Try approving of yourself, and see what happens.’

how would it be, if I could live my life for one moment, one hour, one day, according to that principle?

how would it change me? how would it change you?

what could I do, be, become? could I finally find rest, find peace?

questions arising like an insistent child pulling on a busy mother’s sleeve, needing to be heard.

me, myself and I, tugging at my own sleeve. not giving up, this time.
